Dartmouth Health CEO and president named among 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare for 2023

Joanne M. Conroy, MD, CEO and president of Dartmouth Health, was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2023 by Modern Healthcare. Other honorees include President Joe Biden, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, and Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Co. co-founder Mark Cuban.
The 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare awards and recognition program honors individuals in healthcare who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact. Conroy has been named to the 100 Most Influential list multiple times. An anesthesiologist by training, Conroy has served as CEO and president of Dartmouth Health since 2017. In just six years, Conroy has overseen the expansion of the health system; was named the New Hampshire Citizen of the Year by the New Hampshire Union Leader in 2021; led the system through the worst healthcare crisis of the modern era during the COVID-19 pandemic; and was named chair-elect of the board of trustees of the American Hospital Association, her term set to begin in January.
