The WIMbassador Program invites licensed physicians and healthcare professionals to become ambassadors of change in their institutions and communities. As part of this year-round leadership network, participants support WIM’s broader mission of fostering equity, building leadership capacity, and promoting a resilient healthcare workforce.
In an ambitious bid to drive local impact and national change within the healthcare system, Women in Medicine® (WIM) — a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women and allies across healthcare — has unveiled its WIMbassador Program. This initiative is designed to cultivate physician leadership, strengthen community influence, and accelerate gender equity in medicine.

Founded by Dr. Shikha Jain to address the unique challenges women face throughout their medical careers, WIM strengthens the healthcare workforce by providing resources, leadership development, research opportunities, and advocacy initiatives that support women at every stage of their professional journey. A Platform for Local Leadership and National Influence
At its core, the WIMbassador initiative bridges WIM’s national advocacy goals with grassroots activity.
